Mr Koo

Mr Koo is the indie rock project of songwriter Ollie Rodgers, who draws the name from his Asian family surname. What started as a one-man recording project has now turned into a 5-piece live band. The group reinterpret surf rock through their own lens, blending blue notes and dreamy chords with a psychedelic kick. More recently the band have been bringing influences of Southeast Asian funk and blues into their music, creating a nostalgic sound of summer.

Now a mainstay in the Hong Kong indie scene, their psychedelic instrumental improvisations combined with raw, soulful vocals continue to captivate audiences.
